Association of Unity Churches

Mission Statement:

Unity Church is a spiritual community teaching and demonstrating Universal Truth Principles that empower individuals to transform their lives.

What is Unity?

Unity is positive, practical Christianity. Unity is based upon the practical application of the teachings of Jesus Christ. Unity is a way of life that leads to health, prosperity, happiness, and peace of mind.

Founded in 1889 in Kansas City, Missouri, by Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, Unity has grown into a worldwide movement.

Unity has no doctrines, creeds or covenants. There are, however, five basic Unity principles:

1. There is only one Presence and one Power active as the universe and as my life, God the Good.
2. Our essence is of God; therefore, we are inherently good. This God essence, called the Christ, was fully expressed in Jesus.
3. We are co-creators with God, creating reality through thoughts held in mind.
4. Through prayer and meditation, we align our heart-mind with God. Denials and affirmations are tools we use.
5. Through thoughts, words and actions, we live the Truth we know.
